Area
Since Queen Victoria's 1842 visit, the Perth and Kinross town of Pitlochry, a picturesque Victorian burg, has been a popular tourist destination. The town is in an outdoor recreation hotspot; the nearby Ben Vrackie and Schiehallion mountains are perfect for a day of hiking, and the River Tummel is beautiful, with a scenic dam and boat rental options. In addition to the golf course and Tay Forest Park, visitors to Pitlochry have easy access to the dramatic Cairngorms National Park, where they can go hiking, mountain biking, and more. Numerous shops and restaurants can be found in this festival-filled town. Blair Athol Distillery is just one more reason why this town is perfect for any visitor. Perth's amazing architecture, variety of convenient services, and interesting attractions, such as its museum and art gallery, make it a fantastic day trip destination. It's a beautiful part of Scotland with lots of exciting things to do.
