We arrived at the house on a wild rainy night and it instantly felt like a home from home. The house is larger than expected, well equipped and extremely clean, which is very reassuring given the current pandemic situation. The wood burner was lovely with the added bonus of a complimentary basket of logs! The kitchen had everything you would ever need, and the cottage had lovely touches including maps, books and guides for the local area. The internet worked perfectly (those with tech wise kids will understand the need!!). The Smart TV was great and streamed iPlayer and Netflix with no problem. The following morning the sun came out and the house filled with light, the views are spectacular, with the large panoramic windows making it a fabulous place to sit. The MistyIsle boat trip to Loch Coruisk was fantastic, we saw minke whales and seals, the children loved the whole experience. The local shop was great but it’s worth stocking up at the Co-op in Broadford on your way through. We walked to Bonnie Prince Charlie’s cave which wasn’t far and easily manageable for the kids. They also loved playing on the beach near the harbour, a short walk from the house. The beds were really comfortable and bathrooms modern with plenty of hot water. We would thoroughly recommend staying here and would come back in a heart beat!
Sykes were amazing as always, we are continually impressed with the professionalism and service they offer.
