The renowned "Road to the Isles" ends in Mallaig, a vibrant and bustling fishing community that is well-liked by tourists who want to experience the feel of a working fishing port while also taking advantage of all the restaurants and shopping it has to offer. A ferry crosses the Minch from Mallaig to the Isle of Skye all year long, making it a fantastic entry point. The final station of the famed Jacobite steam train, which travels from Fort William to Mallaig and back through some of Scotland's most breath-taking landscapes, is Mallaig. This train was featured in the Harry Potter films.
