DescriptionHoliday home The West Wing is a wing of a farmhouse close to the village of Grantown-on-Spey just twelve miles from Aviemore. The cottage sleeps seven people and has one king-size double bedroom, one twin and one family room with one double and one single bed and a family bathroom. Also in the cottage are a fitted kitchen with dining area and seating area and separate sitting room. Outside is ample off road parking and a lawn with furniture. Situated in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, The West Wing is a convenient base from which to explore this wonderful part of the country.
Accomodation Details Over three floors. Three bedrooms: 1 x king-size double, 1 x second floor twin, 1 x family room with 1 double and 1 single. Ground floor shower room with shower, basin and WC. Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Kitchen with dining area (seats 6) and seating area (seats 2). Sitting room (seats 6) with electric stove-effect fire.

There is a variety of shops, bars and restaurants in the town to tempt visitors, or use it as a base for exploring the varied pursuits of the area. Enjoy fishing, golfing on the area’s two courses, walking in the surrounding hills and woodlands, birdwatching and of course following the Castle and Whisky trails

Shops and pub 2 miles. Note: This is a working farm with cows and horses so pets must be kept under control at all times. Check in time is 4pm. Please be advised that having your own transport is highly recommended due to the location of the property.

We came for a week to see local wildlife and the West wing was a fantastic base, without even leaving the kitchen we saw many birds including a woodpecker.. The facilities were fantastic and welcoming I love the farm house setting. we would highly recommend it. we were a group from 9-60 years old and it was perfect for all of us. Thank you for an unforgettable week

The house and facilities were perfect for us.. We were fishing the Spey and the location was also perfect. Having the owners in close proximity was great for answering questions about the local area and providing additional valuable information. Would thoroughly recommend.

We loved the house.. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The kitchen was well equipped. We were looking for a peaceful place which was homely and comfortable and weren't disappointed. There was a trampoline which our kids loved using.

The fact that it is a working farm meant we experienced a calf being born .. The owners were extremely friendly & helpful. The cleanliness was very impressive. Everything you need - (everything - pots / pans / plates THE LOT !! )
The children enjoyed the space and the owners dog !! The views are amazing !

The house was lovely, comfortable and everything you need for a perfect holiday.. Situation of the house is perfect beautiful scenery from all Windows, and quiet . Great area for walking our dogs just down the road. The owners very welcoming and their dog too playful wee thing :) . Very sad to leave as felt a home from home . Would definitely return .
