Glenrothes became a popular tourist resort when the railway link connected it to the Edinburgh-Aberdeen line in 1854 and it has remained so to this day with its beautiful, long sandy beach, the luscious Letham Glen and Siverburn parks. With the village’s close proximity to St Andrews, known as “The Home of Golf”, it is an ideal location for golf enthusiasts. Glenrothes is a superb location for touring the beautiful coastal villages of Fife, Stirling; the largest city in central Scotland and Edinburgh.
