The Meadows Hotel in Edinburgh, City Of Edinburgh
To some the act of nodding off is entirely independent of geography. Not us. Because even though all goes dark when Mr Sandman comes a calling the last thing you see (and first thing you see when you wake up) is for us very important indeed. Its why at Borough our 9 rooms and our two family rooms have been individually designed and boast the crispest sheets softest pillows and comfiest beds. Add exceptional personal service (as befits a small luxury hotel) and youre in dreamland. The passion of fresh food prepared from scratch. The understated cool of the bar. Its all here. But fact is like most things in life you need to be there to really appreciate it. In this case it is a blend of old-fashioned personal service and sophisticated loft-space living in Scotlands capital. Here at Borough we like our food. Indeed were passionate about it. But its not the short-lived lusty whirl of a one-night stand. Its the slow deep burning passion that only a real love of food can inspire. Which is where our Head Chef Mark Notman comes in. The best freshest natural ingredients (sourced locally whenever possible) cooked from scratch with a generous dash of individual flair. All enjoyed in a stylish setting thats perfect for dinner whatever the occasion.

There is a great bus service that runs from the city centre to the hotel. Guests can hop aboard the service 42 just outside Waverley Train Station (on Waverley Bridge) which will drop you directly opposite the hotel or alternatively buses run from North Bridge every 5 minutes to a nearby location.
