Crimson & Clover in Lisbon

Description
Directly in front of the Assembly of the Republic (that’s it outside the window), Crimson & Clover isn’t the kind of place you get to stay every day. It has wonderful high ceilings, and while it’s not enormous, the sheer amount of natural light makes it seem far bigger than it should. While you’re not in the throng of Baixa or Chiado, it’s still easy to get into those areas, and honestly, we can deal with fewer tourists and better restaurants.

Home truths:
*The wi-fi was slow when we tested it, and the TV is small, so it's not really a place to stream the latest blockbuster
*Even though it's on the ground floor, there's a short flight of steps
*There's no washing machine in the flat
*Two people can sleep on a sofa bed in the living room, but they wouldn't have much privacy
