The apartment is as described and photographed. Everything is in working order. The view from the terrace is impressive. The owners are very friendly. A bottle of wine was provided upon arrival. The apartment is located 1 km above the lake, which means temperatures are a few degrees lower than at the lake (which is beneficial in summer). The surrounding mountains are high, and there were occasional showers and storms. The biggest drawback is the access road: winding, narrow, and potholed in places. A Ferrari won't be able to get in ;-) The drive to/from Gravedona takes almost 40 minutes.

We can only report positive things: a warm welcome from the landlords Luella and Mauro - it couldn't be better -, fantastic location and very well equipped accommodation. Only the approach on the narrow access road is not for everyone - but you will be rewarded with a sensational view over Lake Como!

I'm an artist and needed a week off with inspiration and an undisturbed opportunity to work. That succeeded. An amazing view, crickets & cuckoo as a backdrop, hiking trails right outside the front door. The house is equipped with everything that is needed. Charming landlords. The road is a challenge. It is best to bring enough food, towels, toilet paper and garbage bags with you and leave the car at home. Rubbish has to be disposed of in the next town.
