Don’t let the studio setup of this apartment in central Trevi faze you. There’s everything you need for a short stay in the city, including a small kitchenette for rustling up morning coffees. But the main perk for us is that covered private terrace. Offering plenty of space to dine or recline, it’s a lovely spot to toast the day’s end – whatever the weather. Location-wise, all the city’s sightseeing hotspots are within easy walking distance. Start your day at the iconic Trevi Fountains or Spanish Steps – both are just over a five-minute stroll away.

Home truths:
*There is a small lift at this apartment that's suitable for one person. However, it requires climbing seven steps between half-landings to reach and exit, which may be unsuitable for guests with restricted mobility.
*You won't find an oven or hob here – though there is a microwave, kettle and coffee maker. We think the kitchen is better suited to prepping lighter bites than large meals.
*The balcony may feel a little overlooked in places, but that’s to be expected in central Rome.
