In the heart of the understated Puglian town of Nardò, this 17th-century courtyard home couldn’t be more enviable. It’s all in the subtle details, striking a fine balance between characterful and refined. Whitewashed and earthy, you’ll want to settle in here – whether in the citrus garden, on the roof terrace, or in bed with a coffee and the French doors wide open as the breeze drifts through. It’s perfect for a group, with four bedrooms each with their own ensuite, giving everyone space to recharge. And while there’s plenty to explore in Nardò itself, with the sun-kissed Salento region at your feet, it’ll be hard to stay put.

*While the the third bathroom isn’t photographed, expect the style and quality to be consistent with the rest of the home.
*Parking can be tricky, as the home is in the historic centre’s limited traffic zone. Your host can register your car for 30 minutes on arrival and departure – otherwise, you’ll need to park outside the old town.
*If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair for free. You'll need to request them in advance.
*One of the bedrooms has a small double bed, which may be better suited to two children or one adult. We’d recommend a maximum guest count of seven adults.
