Pescara was the birthplace of the poet Gabriele D’Annunzio. His childhood home, the Casa Natale di Gabriele D’Annunzio, houses a museum about his life and works. While pieces by Miró and Picasso are on view at the Vittoria Colonna Museum of Modern Art.
