Sanderling Lodge is an exemplary, enormous home in the village of Tacumshane in County Wexford, Ireland. It has four bedrooms in the main house sleeping eight people, with a studio annex with lockable door sleeping a further two people, ten in total. This home also has a well-equipped kitchen with two dining areas and two sitting areas, one with a multi-fuel stove. As well as this, the annex has an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. The property also boasts a rear garden with beautiful plants, a lawn and patio with furniture and a barbecue. Sanderling Lodge is a sublime property in a beautiful part of Ireland, perfect for large families and groups. Area
The small village of Tacumshane in County Wexford has a pub and restaurant, The Millhouse, and is home to the Republic of Ireland's only windmill. The windmill is now a national monument. This part of County Wexford has plenty to offer - Tacumshane Lake is a favourite with anglers and birdwatchers, there are golf courses, and the coastal walking path is easily reached. Kilmore Quay fishing village is a few miles away, and there are some lovely beaches, ideal for relaxing and playing on the sand. The county town of Wexford is under 10 miles away, and offers plenty of amenities including shops, bars and good restaurants. The photographs shown on various websites for this property present a pristine property, however, the actual state of Sanderling Lodge does not match the photographs. Black mold covers the bedroom walls. There is water damage on the ceilings and down the walls. Door frames are rotted. There is an overwhelming smell on mold in the house and water damage throughout. We requested alternate accommodations be made for us, however, the owner did not attempt to assist us and instead just denied there was any mold on the property even though I sent photographs to Sykes Cottages and the owner.

Just returned from a n amazing family holiday at Sanderling Lodge. Great spacious and comfortable property in the most amazing location. Lucky to have the hosts Brian and Annabelle staying nearby. Nothing was a bother and they were welcoming and friendly. Easy access to Wexford Town for shopping. Amazing beaches al around the south east coast with one only 10 minutes walk away. Truly spoilt. The house is fantastic. Everything you would need for a large family gathering and very comfortable. Excellent WI-FI which is really important for everyone. There are another two holiday properties on the site which are also amazingly furnished throughout. Looking forward to returning next year

We had a wonderful holiday in Sanderling.. The house is spacious and really well-equipped, with brilliant facilities for families in particular - our children were able to roam safely on the grounds, explore the playground area and enjoy all the toys and games in the house. With the other buildings on-site, it would also be a great venue for a large family gathering. Annabel and Brian were great hosts and so considerate. We would definitely go back.

Sanderling Lodge is a really lovely place to stay.. We stayed with my two sons and their young families and it worked wonderfully , one family with the big boys upstairs, little one in the cot with his mum and dad downstairs and us two in the annex, so, all close but with space and privacy. The wonderful full-length kitchen could have board games at one end, quiet reading at the other and bird watching in the middle. We had wonderful weather so we were out playing ball games in the big garden, or going round to the play area where the kids played on the slides and in the little house which was a big hit. Everything we could need was provided and we would love to stay again. All communication with the owner was straightforward and the caretaker dropped by to check we were all good. (We had a great meal at Mary Barry's, very child friendly with a great menu and play area, so we all reccommend going there.) Thank you for a great family stay, and we look forward to a return.

Sanderling is a great holiday home in a lovely part of Wexford, we were a large group 10 and there was tons of space, Weather wasn't great but the kids didn't want to leave, a big shout out for Jo, who was excellent for any problem we may have had as was Tony the owner.. Regards Frank

I visited the house for a long weekend in August and wasn't disappointed.The accommodation is furnished to a very high standard and is set in a beautiful area with views over the the countryside.There are plenty of beaches for ooing walks with dogs and once you have built up that appetite there lots of place to feed and water yourself. All in all very relaxing great scenery and to cap it all only 10 mins for Rosslare we will definitely visit again
