Shelmalier House is a family-run accommodation provider situated in a quiet location approx. 2km from Athlone town centre. It is a modern house surrounded by beautiful gardens and a barbeque area.Our facilities include seven tastefully decorated en-suite bedrooms and each room is equipped with tv and tea/coffee making facilities. The gardens are large and our guests may sit, relax and enjoy the wide variety of shrubs and flowers planted in both gardens.
Shelmalier House is ideally located for visitors who wish to experience the many excellent attractions and leisure facilities available in the Athlone area such as Athlone Castle, Clonmacnoise, the River Shannon and water activities. There is a choice of four excellent golf courses within 15 minutes drive.It is also ideally located for Athlone Institute of Technology home to more than 6000 students. The IDA Business Park is also nearby.
