Fishing boats leave from the quay in front of the house and are available to charter for deep sea fishing in Clew Bay. Fresh water salmon fishing is also available along the Black Oak river. If your inclinations are for more solid ground, the house itself is on the path of a popular Newport loop walk. Anchor House is also adjacent to a wide range of breathtaking walking, cycling and driving routes as well as having tennis, handball and golfing facilities nearby.
