Bunnacurry Cottage is a large family home situated in the village of Bunnacurry, Achill Island, Co Mayo.Bunnacurry Cottage sleeps up to eight people, with four double bedrooms. One double bedroom is downstairs with en-suite shower room. Three double bedrooms upstairs, one with en-suite shower room. The Living space comprises of an open plan kitchen/diner. Living room with open fire, for those cosy nights in! Family bathroom, cloak room and utility room.
Bunnacurry Cottage has beautiful views of Achill Island, Ireland and The Atlantic Ocean, with large front and rear gardens with a bank at the rear sloping down to a small stream.
All the amenities of the Island are within easy reach, these includes – fishing, golf, hill walking, horse riding, water sports, surfing, cycling....to name a few. Achill also has five blue flag beaches for plenty of family fun! The Island has a number of good restaurants and bars for eating out and socialising.
Open all year round. A deposit of 30% is payable tat time of booking to secure dates, this deposit will be refunded at the end of you stay subject to any damage to the property. Payment for you stay must be received in full 6 weeks before your holiday. Prices increase on Public Holidays and local events.Usage of electricity and oil will be payable at the end of your stay (priced by usage/meter readings). Limited number of towels and bedding are provided free of charge - Please bring extra if needed.
Keys available from 4pm, please vacate by 10am, exchange day is Saturday.

Experience the ever-changing light of Achill Island that has inspired generations of artists, musicians and writers, and appreciate their interpretations of this wild island in one our many galleries – you could even create your own Achill masterpiece at an outdoor workshop! Cycle hire for Achill Island and the surrounding area. Hire bikes to explore Achill's three cycle hubs or the Great Western Greenway, starting at Achill Sound.

Fishing Holidays

For fishing enthusiasts, the Atlantic waters around Achill provide one of the best sea angling grounds in Europe. Achill sea angling offers a large variety and size of species and the area has provided Ireland’s two shark records as well as many specimen claims. A number of boat owners offer sea angling trips from Achill.

Golf Holidays

Achill Island, on Ireland’s wild Atlantic coast, boasts a 9-hole links course in a spectacular location on the sandybanks in Keel. This golf course is open to the public, with reasonable green fees and also a weekly rate available for holiday makers. Watch out for the sheep. A pitch and putt course is available in The Valley, while for fun there is a crazy golf course at the Chalet restaurant in Keel.

Beach Rentals

The house in Bunacurry is located 5 minutes drive from the nearest sandy beach in Dooniver. Keel beach and lake (surfing and kiteboarding) are approximately 10 minutes away. With no fewer than five Blue Flag beaches Achill offers some of the best quality beaches in Ireland. These include the strand at Keem Bay, a beautiful, secluded valley located at the western tip of Achill Island.
