Ireland

Leitrim has the shortest coastline in Ireland but is still full of spectacular surprises from the remains of Bronze Age crannógs at Lough Allen, the best-preserved examples of brown bear in Ireland at Poll na mBéar and Glencar waterfall.

There's lakeside activity at Lough Gill and Lough Allen and the river Shannon runs through the county with Carrick-on-Shannon as a popular stopping off point for boats and cruisers.
