Castletownshend Townhouse in Castletownshend, Cork

Description
Stylish townhouse in the heart of Castletownshend, a charming village south of Skibereen in West Cork. The village originated around a 17th-century castle built by Richard Townsend, whose descendants still reside there.

Sleeping up to ten in four bedrooms, it is ideal for family holidays, groups of friends and reunions. The house is bright and airy and leads out to a fabulous garden with views over the bay.

On entering the house you are wowed by the enormous hall with wood burning stove. Off this is the cozy living room with flat screen TV, another wood burning stove and corner sofas. Walking back you come into the fabulous open plan kitchen, dining and living room. This leads out through the glass wall to the patio area and up the steps to the back lawn and raised patio. From here the views over the bay are spectacular.

There are four bedrooms upstairs, the master with super-king bed and en-suite, a family room with super-king bed and bunks, a double room and a bunk room. There is also a great family bathroom.

In addition downstairs has a utility room with washing machine and dryer off the kitchen, and a downstairs loo off the hall.

Castletownshend is a beautiful village on the coast about five miles south of Skibbereen. It has a shop, two pubs, one of which is the famous Mary-Ann's, also an excellent restaurant, and the recently re-furbished Castle Townshend with it's new cafe and restaurant with outdoor pizza oven, smoker and grill. An ideal base from which to explore the Wild Atlantic Way.
