Mr Dooley

The photographs do not do the location of this house any justice.. The drive from Durrus is a beautiful scenic drive along the coast with mountains in the distance. There are gorgeous views of the bay from the front bedroom windows. Whilst there we visited the local bar/restaurant, Arundels. The food was delicious and our 1 year enjoyed playing in the play park while we finished off our food. There is a local art gallery and coffee shop within walking distance too.
The house had all the necessities and no more. We stayed here with our 3 kids. 13, 10 and 1. While they each had their own double room they were stuck a few times for things to do. There's a set of swings outside and a large garden but no toys at all inside and no selection of DVD's as stated. Although not always necessary in holiday rentals, a BBQ would have been lovely too. The wifi was good and Sky TV provided some freeview channels.
We appreciate the fact that this is someones house and that while staying there we have a responsibility to keep it clean and tidy but the to-do list stuck on the fridge was going abit far. When you go on holiday the last thing you want is to be given a list of chores like moping the floors, cleaning the oven, fridge and bathrooms!!
Also, don't forget to keep some Euro's for the electricity. You will need to pay the caretaker (who was lovely) upon departure.
