Mr Shield
April 2019
Great communication between ourselves and Liam, he was very helpful both on the phone and on our arrival.. Sadly, all three ladies expected a hairdryer to be available, so didn’t bring one. Liam said he would try to get one to us, but was unable to do so. The moral of the story ladies is please take your own hairdryer it’s less stressful!
One other thing to take into account, it’s a big place to heat, the oil and electricity are metered, so the extra cost should be thought about. Remember that Ireland doesn’t have a postcode system like ours so sat nav is useful. I would also take a OS map too as it gives you a better view when planning journeys. The coastline is fantastic, we found isolated beaches for the 20 month old twins to run around on within 30 minutes of the house.
We loved the place, the gardens are well stocked and a work in progress. The creaking floor in the room off the kitchen became a game, trying to cross it quietly at night! Love the fact that the hot water has a circulation loop so hot water is instant at any point, as long as you switch the pump on (downstairs in the basement).
