There is also an open plan living area with a galley kitchen, dining area and sitting areas. Completing the accommodation is a basin and WC and a bathroom with a freestanding bath. Set just a short walk from the local amenities and with original features throughout, this is a stunning apartment. The Merchant's Store is a lovely base for couples, a small family, or a couple of friends.

Fuel and power inc. in rent April-Sept, 25 supplement payable directly to owner Oct-March. Starter pack for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Roadside parking on first come, first served basis. Additional parking in FOC public car park close by. Courtyard garden. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 1 min walk. Note: Although all ground floor, there is one step up to the sitting area.

Lovely place to stay owner was so helpful and informative.. Suggested a more detailed list of amenities in the house as people traveling on the budget airlines have restricted luggage and may prefer to know what they do not need to take,( but the house was lacking nothing)

This was a truly amazing place to stay.. It was decorated and furnished in line with its era but still had all the comforts. The feel of the old bar was retained and this added to the experience. My 8 year old loved 'working' behind the bar taking orders for drinks and food. A great place to stay and so central to access all parts of county Clare.

We have just returned from a wonderful week at The Merchant's Store, and we could have easily stayed for longer! The building has been lovingly restored by the owner, Paul, in a way that is completely sympathetic to its history. The whole place has a real charm, with interesting things to look at at every turn. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and it has been the perfect place from which to explore the beautiful County Clare. If you are looking for a place to stay that is within easy reach of the spectacular Wild Atlantic Way, look no further than The Merchant's Store.

My sister and I really enjoyed our stay a the Merchant’s Store.. It is centrally located in downtown Kilrush and is quaintly furnished but has all the modern conviences. Dishwasher, washer/dryer, stove, oven, refrigerator, WiFi, and it’s own private little patio garden. We couldn’t have been more pleased with it and the owner Paul is a joy to visit with.

The Merchant's Store was everything we could've asked for! Fully furnished with all kitchen appliances we needed. Paul went above and beyond for us when we entered in a snowstorm, giving us extra heaters and a heated blanket. It is a prime location, in the center of Kilrush and walking distance to everything. Hot shower, strong wifi, comfortable bed, very quiet. We booked direct through the owner, Paul who was very communicative throughout the whole process. When we're back in Kilrush, we will definitely be staying here again! HIGHLY recommend!

The Merchants Store is fantastic, it’s like stepping back in time.. The total refursbment of this property is a credit to the owner who is a very helpful and nice person. The location is perfect and sitting in the snug brings back childhood memories. I can not recommend renting the Store highly enough, I will be returning. Shane

Loved the inspired renovation of this former shop.. It was very spacious and located right in the centre of the town. The owner was friendly and very helpful in assisting us with information on local facilities. He also shared mince pies from the nearby Trump golf course with us.
