Legend has it that this striking home occupies the site of an ancient vigla, a strategic lookout point. Thousands of years later, the exquisite coastline views haven't changed much, and they now provide the backdrop to alfresco meals, sunny drinks, and pool dips. The three buildings that comprise this stunning villa are nestled around a peaceful (and blissfully sheltered) courtyard garden, and inside, local marble and stone mirror the natural landscape of Sifnos. Although you do sacrifice beach proximity for the hilltop location (for braver guests, it's a steep walk down), you can hop in the car and be in picturesque Vathi in under ten minutes.

*While it is possible to walk to nearby Vathi beach in under thirty minutes, the route is via steep steps. We'd recommend driving there, which takes ten minutes.
