Elsewhere, the bright interiors favour an unfussy style, knowing you're likely to spend your days outdoors, whether hanging out by the pool or dining under the pergola. Kokkino Chorino is a quaint Cretan village with a taverna and supermarket, so amenities are at hand for lazy days at home – but there are numerous hidden beaches within driving distance that will tempt you outside.
