Beautiful, historical working farm, 3 storeys, from the 19th century, renovated in 2019, surrounded by trees and meadows. In the district of Hohe 5.3 km from the centre of Hehlen, 5 km from the centre of Bodenwerder, in a quiet position, 400 m from the edge of the forest. For shared use: large garden 1'500 m2 (fenced) with lawn and trees. Terrace (20 m2), garden furniture, barbecue, children's playground (slide, swing). In the complex: fitness room (extra). Storage room for bicycles, central heating system, washing machine (for shared use, extra), drying room. Parking (for 10 cars) on the premises, single garage (extra) at the house. Shop 7 km, grocery 5 km, supermarket 7 km, restaurant 5 km, bakery 5 km, bus stop "Hohe" 20 m, ferry "Hehlen" 8 km, outdoor swimming pool 8 km, indoor swimming pool 9 km. Walking paths from the house 200 m. Nearby attractions: Welterbe Corvey 33 km, Porzellanmanufaktur Fürstenberg 40 km. Well-known lakes can easily be reached: Humboldtsee 28 km. Please note: car recommended. The owner does not accept any youth groups. Garden seating area (200 m2) and the second terrace (9 m2) are available for shared use (both terraces are not visible to each other).

We came with 4 people and were warmly welcomed. After we were shown the apartment, everyone could choose their bedroom. Overall, the apartment was very clean and, unlike what was to be expected with 156 square meters, it was pleasantly warm everywhere. We didn't miss anything and felt very comfortable there.

The apartment was not cleaned, full of cobwebs in the corners of the rooms, the fridge and the toilets had to be disinfected by us. The bed linen and towels offered were stored unprotected in the basement and could easily absorb dust and odors. The extra €12.50 per person when booking bed linen and towels is overstated, as is the €75 for the final cleaning, which is included in the rental price and is obviously not carried out.

The apartment wasn't for 6 adults after all, alternatively the "middle apartment" with space for 7 people was offered, but it was quite dark with brown, old, partly defective furniture and unfortunately not clean (mold in the fridge, dust everywhere). The WLAN is weak, the bed linen is strongly perfumed with fabric softener, bright neon night lighting, pigsty smell from the neighbors & billing irritations. Unfortunately, there were too many "unfortunately" - no recommendation.

Cleanliness very bad had to clean themselves. Far too small TV. Poor kitchen utensils. Dishes very dirty. Garden furniture not there for many people. Oven very dirty could not be used. Water wasn't warm enough for showering. Not enough parking space when all apartments are rented.
