This bright and welcoming apartment is a lovely base for a couple or a solo traveller in Paris. We love the location in the heart of Montmartre, just a kilometre from Sacré Coeur and the Moulin Rouge. Yet it’s tucked away in a tree-lined courtyard, so feels peaceful. The stairs to the mezzanine-level bedroom are on the steep side, and the bedroom itself isn’t very private. But for a pleasant place to rest your head in between seeing the sights, we think this is a great choice.

*There are stairs to climb at this home, so it may not be suitable for those with reduced mobility. *Given the home's central spot, expect to hear some street noise throughout your stay. *If you're travelling for work, you won't find a dedicated desk here. However, the small dining table doubles up as a laptop-friendly workspace. *We think the kitchenette is better suited to preparing light bites, rather than full meals. You’ll have your pick of Montmartre’s eateries on your doorstep though. *The bedroom is at mezzanine level above the open-plan living, dining and kitchen space. Privacy is limited. *The courtyard here is shared with the residents of the other apartments.
