Description
Nestled above Annecy Lake, this former sheepfold provides an exclusive, off-grid experience for those seeking tranquillity and a deep reconnection with nature. Far removed from the distractions of modern life and perfect for unplugging with family or friends. For those seeking an eco-friendly retreat, the house is self-sufficient. You won't be entirely cut off from the outside world—WiFi is available for those who need to stay connected. Electricity is powered by solar panels and water is sourced & filtered directly from a nearby spring. For warmth, the two cosy fireplaces provide heating throughout the house, adding to the rustic charm of this mountain hideaway.
No matter the weather, you'll never run out of activities to enjoy at the chalet. Gather around the firepit for cosy evenings under the stars, challenge friends to a game of darts or board games, relax in the hot tub or try your hand at making pizza in the wood-fired oven. For outdoor enthusiasts, several hiking trails begin right at your doorstep, leading to destinations like Le Col des Nantets or Les Dents de Lanfon. A tree-climbing park is just a 5-minute drive away, and if you're feeling extra daring, there's even a paragliding takeoff point.
The home is conveniently located just a 15-minute drive from the nearest town and the tranquil shores of Lake Annecy, where you’ll find local shops and swimming spots. For a more immersive experience, the vibrant historic town centre of Annecy is only 30 minutes away by car, offering charming streets, markets, and picturesque canals. For cycling enthusiasts, you can rent bikes nearby and explore the scenic route around the lake—going anti-clockwise is recommended for an easier ride.
