Area Broad Chalke is a village nestled under the download of Cranborne Chase, between Shaftesbury and Salisbury. Cranbourne Chase is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with the countryside can justly claim to be some of the finest in southern England. Walkers, riders and cyclists are particularly well served by the multitude of footpaths, bridleways and cycle routes which run along the valley while a walk up to the old Ox Drove on the chalk ridge above will be richly rewarded by the sweeping views.

Great cottage had a lovely week there.. The problem we had was sorted out quickly and satisfactorily. The biggest problem was that there was no microwave but we coped with that in the end. Would love to come again as the garden was beautiful and the cottage received all the evening sun.

The cottage was perfect and it must be even nicer in summer.. Everything needed was there and we were able to make the most of our short break.
The level of restoration was high especially the granite kitchen worktops which was extraordinary in a holiday cottage. All round it is a lovely place in a great setting and perfect for short or longer stays.
