We booked this former Catholic retreat last minute when our portugal holiday fell through and we didn't regret it. The property is very unique and has plenty of space both inside and out. It has been refurbished to a very high standard and felt very homely. The property was spotlessly clean and felt covid safe.
The two large living areas look out over the garden with stunning views of Ilkley and Ilkley Moor. You can also enjoy these from the two hot tubs.
We enjoyed the extra facilities you wouldn't normally get in a regular rental property - the poll table and snooker table, bar, art room, fire pit, putting green and the gym that was mostly used as a disco by the kids.
This is a great property to visit with children as they have so much space to enjoy
The location of the property is fantastic. We enjoyed many walks starting from the property straight onto the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. Ilkley Moor is a short drive away with more stunning views and great walks. You can walk down into Ilkley town from the property either on pavement or by footpaths through woods. The pretty town has plenty of restaurants, takeaways and shops and a lovely Riverside park with plenty of walks.
The communication from the hosts was great with clear guides for everything provided in the property. They left us a welcome hamper with useful extras such as tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits and bread. They left milk and butter in the fridge. We were provided with plenty of dishwasher tablets, washing powder, loo rolls and tea towels.
We would thoroughly recommend Myddelton Grange.
