Area
The famed Bronte sisters, who lived in the little village of Haworth, were inspired to write their works of English literature, which have since become classics, by the surrounding moorland. Haworth is a community that time almost forgot, with a plethora of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways, and cobblestone streets providing a lovely period ambiance, all set against a framing backdrop of famously characterised as wild, rough, and bleak in the novel Wuthering Heights landscape. The famed Keighley and Worth Valley train, an actual steam train made famous by the movie The Railway Children, is close by and offers a charming day trip with a regular service to the historic village of Oxenhope. The Bronte Parsonage Museum, East Riddlesden Hall, and the National Railway Museum in York are just a few of the well-known attractions in the area. A short drive will take you to the market town of Skipton, affectionately known as the "Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales," as well as to chic Harrogate, energetic Leeds, and bustling Manchester.

Region
From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer?
