Two well-behaved pets are welcome. Sorry, no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included. You'll find the closest shop and pub within 0.2 miles. The thriving village of Ettington lies in beautiful Warwickshire countryside and boasts a lovely village pub serving wonderful home-cooked food as well as a village shop/Post Office, well stocked with local fresh produce. The village is recognised as both a Saxon and Roman settlement; the Fosse Way Roman road is close by, and many buildings date back to the 17th century. Ettington is just 6.5 miles south of the market town Stratford-upon-Avon, which dates back to medieval times, and is the home of William Shakespeare. The town boasts many historic buildings including Shakespeare's birthplace and Anne Hathaway's cottage, The Royal Shakespeare Theatre, many traditional pubs, excellent restaurants and individual shops, as well as boat hire and cruises along the River Avon. The beautiful National Trust house at Charlecote Park is well worth a visit with its stunning gardens and Capability Brown Deer Park. A few minutes' drive away are Compton Verney and Upton House, both showcasing spectacular collections of paintings and ceramics, whilst set in beautifully landscaped gardens for family friendly days out. The world famous castles at Warwick and Kenilworth are only a 25 minute drive away. Also within easy reach are the picturesque Cotswold villages of Chipping Campden, Stow-on-the-Wold and Moreton-in-Marsh making this a great holiday destination for a memorable holiday at any time of year.
