Stable Cottage is a lovely retreat located in the village of Sudbury, Suffolk. Hosting two bedrooms; a double, and a twin, along with a shower room, this property can sleep up to four people. Inside you will also find an open-plan sitting room with kitchen. To the outside is off-road parking in front of house for one car - please ensure when parking that the owner is able to get in and out. There is also free roadside parking close by for additional car. Situated in a delightful location and just a few minutes walk from the town, Stable Cottage is a pleasant retreat in a characterful part of England.

Enjoy the architecture in the area, Sudbury presents a combination of Victorian terrace houses, Georgian manor houses and medieval timber framed Halls. Belle Vue Park is a lovely spot for kicking back and watching the world go by and there is an array of shops in the town to delight in. This ancient market town is only fifteen miles from Colchester where you will discover Colchester Castle, an 11th century edifice and manicured grounds, Hollytrees Museum showcasing local history exhibits.

The ultimate in “year-round” appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales.

Mu husband, daughter, grandson and I have just returned from a 3 night stay at this beautiful cottage. Jenny, the owner, met us when we arrived and explained everything we needed to know, she had also left milk, bread, butter, marmalade and some gorgeous cookies. The cottage was warm and cosy, the beds so comfortable and everywhere was spotlessly clean. The cottage is in the centre of Sudbury with some lovely shops, pubs and coffee shops nearby (just don't expect many places to be open on Mondays . I would certainly recommend this cosy cottage, it has everything you need for a comfortable stay.

This was a very comfortable house to stay in. Although it is near the town, it is in a peaceful area. There are lovely walks nearby and a wealth of beautiful villages to explore. There are some great restaurants and takeaways nearby (even during these strange times). The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and the shower is lovely - there was nothing we felt was missing - it had everything we needed. The owner is very helpful and approachable and helped to make our stay there special. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this house.

Cottage located in a town with an excellent array of shops/places to eat.. All within walking distance.Beautiful countryside and quaint villages in the vicinity as well as NT properties to visit. The cottage is compact but has everything you need and the beds are very comfortable. Great shower. Ideal location for visiting “Constable country” and the Suffolk coast is within reach. Aldeburgh and Southwold very picturesque.

Stables cottage is very comfortable and well equipped.. The friendly and welcoming owner has provided lots of information about the area including maps for walks and cycling. The cottage is in an ideal spot for visiting local national trust properties and there are many walks for all both around Sudbury and further afield. I would definitely recommend this cottage for a relaxing break.
