Greenacres Barn is a semi-detached cottage attached to the owner's home on the edge of Denstone near Alton Towers in Staffordshire. The cottage sleeps four people in two super king-size bedrooms (one with an en-suite shower). There is also a ground floor bathroom, a kitchen with a dining area, a utility and a sitting room. Outside there is off road parking for two cars and a patio with furniture. Greenacres Barn is a spacious property with many attractions available close by. Please note: the owner lives next door in the attached property and there is also a shepherd's hut on the estate.

Two bedrooms: 1 x super king-size double (zip/link, can be twin on request) with en-suite shower, basin and WC, 1 x ground floor double. Ground floor bathroom with bath, basin and WC. Kitchen with dining area. Utility. Sitting room with wood burner.

Area
The pretty, traditional village of Denstone is set amongst many fantastic attractions, including the thrilling Alton Towers theme park which is just a few minutes’ drive away. The village has an award-winning farm shop and café, a local inn, and an art gallery. Alton is a six minute drive away and offers numerous eateries and pubs and a Post Office. Situated on the Tissington Trail there are excellent walking and cycling routes available.

Region
The ultimate in "year-round" appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales.

The wood-fired hot tub may be available during your stay on request and for an additional charge. Two well-behaved pets welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 8 mins walk. Note: There are three steps to access the sitting room, may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. Being the age that we are (my wife and I that is) we have seen a few holiday rentals over the years. Greenacres Barn has catapulted itself into our top 3. Superb accommodation, very well appointed and with every creature comfort you could possibly need. In this day and age Wi-Fi is a must and so often adverts for properties say "Wi-Fi throughout" and what that usually means is if you stand in the corner of a room and hold your laptop above your head you may get a "1 bar" signal. Not here though - there's excellent Wi-Fi coverage throughout. For those of you with pets the design of the place makes life so much more easier. There's a utility room off the main entrance where animals can be dried off and fed etc. The location is excellent with a farm shop, an eclectic village stores and pub nearby. The scenery is stunning with superb walks and views all round. Then there are the owners, providers of many treats that made our holiday very special - the cake was superb! A very friendly couple who have made their behaviour a model for others to follow.

The cottage was very clean and very spacious. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming and made us feel at home straight away and throughout our stay. This is an ideal retreat to stay, it is very quiet and would especially be suitable for those visiting the nearby Alton Towers estate. We thoroughly recommended.
