Mr Soanes
December 2018
It is a brilliantly conceived steel framed barn conversion, with wheelchair access everywhere and very conveniently positioned electrics, switches and sockets, and all facilities within reach.. A lot of work has been gone into this very comfortable, smart conversion.
I spent nearly all of January in supreme comfort, the only thing missing was a tumble dryer, but a new washing machine and dishwasher made up for that, and it is a holiday home after all!
The location, on the edge of the small village/hamlet is fine for those used to living in an urban environment, as there are few views over the countryside, a pub is the only commerce apart from the 'fish&chip van' every Tuesday evening!
Being in a small river valley, it's uphill in all directions, wheelchair walks are not a good idea!
You couldn't meet a nicer family than the Scutts (the owners) who made me very welcome, making me feel 'at home' and checking that I "had all I needed" very regularly.
I wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend to others, provided they have transport, or love walking!
