Much Wenlock is a market town that has been around for 700 years. The town offers an array of shops, pubs and restaurants along twisting streets and black and white half-timbered buildings. With the 15 mile long Wenlock Edge there is plenty of walking, cycling and riding to be done here. Nearby are other towns including Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth and Ludlow.

A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was “the quietest place under the sun” and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.

This cottage photos Don't do it justice it is a lovely cottage right in the middle of of the town just behind the shops could not be more convenient for all the attractions of much wenlock and near by villages and towns there is parking on road for one car and near by car park. My husband is disabled not in wheelchair but bad on his legs he did not have any problem with steps in cottage. There is everything you need for self catering cooker oven all cutlery etc washing machine patio with little plants around and seats. Shower and toilet down stairs and upstairs the bed is comfy can be king size or singles very clean and lovely hosts very welcoming and leave you to your own devices. Great pubs and shops in village especially The Talbot were we ate most days .we will be coming back here again

We’ve just returned from 6 days at this cottage. What a lovely hideaway! The cottage is spacious, clean and with a huge comfortable bed. The cottage is next to the owners home. We saw them occasionally and they were available if we had any queries. They we also very friendly. Much Wenlock is a beautiful little town and we were right in the centre of it. There is Tea rooms, pubs, and a few shops, some being dog friendly. There is plenty of places nearby to visit or to place to walk, Ironbridge, Wenlock Edge and The Long Mynd amongst some of them.

We were welcomed very warmly by the the owners on arrival and kindly given a farewell departure.. We felt relaxed with having a small dog which the owners were pleased to meet. Throughout the week we enjoyed the contact. Suitable for two people, the Wash House is a small place but with two toilets, two showers and two televisions ! The Wash House is tucked away behind the high street so convenient for shopping and we felt very secure. Much Wenlock is suitably placed for the Shropshire hills and old towns. Our holiday included visiting family and friends both in Wales and in the West Midlands. We would recommend this place for a holiday, a good base with a kindly atmosphere behind the small door.
