With very well finished and equipped accommodation set on the ground floor, this semi detached property on the owners' 220 acre arable farm in Alberbury village in Shropshire is perfect for some rest and relaxation. Guests have exclusive use of a hot tub and sauna, there is a full size pool table in the games area of the sitting room and two of the bathrooms have impressive â€˜All Body Jet' shower cubicles. The property is set next to the large ornamental pond, whose waterfall and night time light display makes it a lovely place to sit and relax. The area is full of so much for visitors to enjoy, including castles, stately homes, superb walking, pretty villages and fascinating museums.

All ground floor. Three bedrooms, all with TV/DVD: 1 x king-size double with en-suite bath, shower over, basin, WC, 1 x king-size double with en-suite All Body Jet shower, basin, WC, 1 x twin. Shower room with all body jet shower, sauna for 4. Separate basin & WC. Fitted kitchen with dining area & comfy seating, 42" TV/DVD & doors to deck. Spacious sitting room with air conditioning, pool table, woodburner & TV/DVD in games area & picture window with doors to deck.

Area
The small rural village of Alberbury sits in pretty countryside, 9 miles from Shrewsbury. There is so much to do in this area, from the ten museums of Ironbridge Gorge to the abbey, castle, shops and restaurants of Shreswbury. There are many National Trust properties within easy reach of Alberbury, including Attingham Park, Powis Castle, Chirk Castle and Erddig. Ludlow, with its castle and timbered buildings, is a lovely town for a stroll and a refreshing cream tea, or step back in time with a trip to Acton Scott Working Farm, seen on TV as â€˜The Victorian Farm'.

A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was "the quietest place under the sun" and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.

We had a fantastic Christmas at The Sheep Shed.. Both Julie and Robert were so warm, friendly and welcoming. On our first evening we were invited to join the locals at bell ringing and carol singing. What a lovely start to the festive period. The kids loved the surroundings and enjoyed both games rooms. Kept them pretty occupied throughout the day. Brilliant idea. Even going to the local pub on Christmas Day we were welcomed by all there. Such a friendly area. Highly recommend Upper House Farm Cottages - fantastic stay. Thank you

We had an awesome stay at The Sheep Shed.. It is set back off the road nestling peacefully amongst the Shropshire fields. Robert and Julie so welcoming, friendly, helpful and on hand should you need them. The Sheep Shed is comfortable with lovely leather furniture, just perfect for relaxing in front of the wood burner. The sauna an added bonus as is the hot tub for a real pampering. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. All rooms spotlessly clean with luxury towels and crisp white bedding. Bathroom and shower facilities excellent. The under floor heating is so nice too! The pool table was a big hit. The play barn and badminton barn very well thought out and offers lots of activities to guests. We borrowed some DVDs' from the extensive collection housed there. Loved the honesty shop which is surprisingly well stocked. Millie the farm dog is so sweet. Cannot fault anything or leave negative feedback at all. Can't stress how much we loved our holiday here, so much so we tried to re-book for February '19 but it is already taken by some very lucky people. You will not regret booking to stay here - it was a little slice of Heaven.....

We loved the friendly welcome we received on our early arrival - being greeted by genuinely friendly the owner and manager and offers of drinks on arrival made a great start to our holiday.. We also adored the gorgeous pets who came to visit us, especially Millie the dog and Leftie, the cat. The cottage was very secluded, even from the other cottages, which was great. Location is brilliant - lots to do nearby, including the deer park walk and NT properties, Shrewsbury etc.. Hot tub and pool table at the property great fun. Honesty shop and games barns, including retro space invaders and badminton were a bonus. Our grandson just loved the farm dog, Millie, and that you could take her for walks. We loved the fish pond and daily feeding the fish! Very comfortable beds.

The location is in lovely friendly village where we were made to feel very welcome. The Sheep Shed was wonderful with great Hot tub, Sauna and Pool Table. The outside space was lovely we came away to relax and that is what we did sitting by the fish pond listening to the waterfall. Upper House has other cottages and a games barn but it was peaceful and quiet. There was nothing we could fault, Robert and Betty Lou were fantastic hosts, we so enjoyed our chats. Julie was very helpful and nothing seemed to much trouble. We enjoyed it so much that we tried to extend our holiday sadly it was booked. The local area was very pretty lovely church, beautiful walks and welcoming inns and pubs. We hope to go back very soon.

We had a wonderful holiday in The Sheep Shed.. The property itself is beautiful with everything we could have wished for! There is also so much to do and see in the area. It is right on the border of Wales, so we visited Llangollen and had a canal trip and steam train trip there! We also visited places in the immediate vicinity and had lovely walks in the hills. We would thoroughly recommend it. The owners were extremely helpful and gave us the best welcome we have ever had!

We found The Old Sheep Shed to suit our needs completely. We were a group of 6 adults, so the 3 rooms and 3 bathrooms were excellent. The fish pond was a lovely feature and the fish were well fed with the pellets provided. The hot tub was a greatly used. The kitchen and dining area was well equipped and user friendly. Overall, really could not find fault with anything.

We stayed at the Old Sheep Shed for a week in August 2015 and thoroughly enjoyed it. The standard of the 'shed' was excellent, very clean and comfortable. The hot tub was a particular success as were the play barns on site. The fish were kept well fed and we enjoyed our regular visits from Millie the dog as well as the cats. We had a great time at the old sheep shed and it was perfect for my son who has mobility problems too. Not only is there a hot tub, pool table, and sauna for sole use, but also the kids can also enjoy Jimmys play barn and the indoor badminton court area with wooden play area which was a real hit for my boys. We spent a week at the old sheep shed, the cottage is lovely, well situated with excellent facilities. The hot tub was very clean and used every day. We didn't use the sauna, but it looked very clean. All the rooms were spotless and well furnished. The living area had comfortable furniture. The kitchen was well equipped and very clean. It is part of an ongoing development which meant that there was access to a family orientated games room and a barn with a badminton court. Every one we met was very nice and helpful and a minor issue with the hot water was dealt with quickly and cheerfully. A really good location and a perfect home from home, we went as 4 adults, the old sheep shred would be ideal for a family. We would recommend it.

The venue, so relaxing, great to look at open fields or watch the fish. The location, its the countryside at its best, perfect location for villages, towns, and country. Have to say this place was amazing. Extremely high standard, well maintained, owners couldn't be more helpful or friendly. Robert, Betty Lou, James and Millie were absolutely brilliant during our stay there last bank holiday weekend. We had the cabin booked for a week but even though we stayed only over the weekend, we felt it was worth it. They have created a little piece of paradise, far away from everything with its own hot tub (which was the main attraction for us, initially), steam room and pool table. The surrounding countryside was beautiful and the walks were lovely. A pleasurable, relaxing stay if you want to get away from it all.

A very pleasant holiday at the Old Sheep Shed and I'll definitely be back. From an early morning bathe in the hot tub watching the sun glistening through the trees and the fish bubbling in the adjacent pond, to a session in the sauna before wandering down to the local pub for a hearty meal, every moment was a relief from day to day life. The pond with the greenery around it was beautiful even on rainy days and in particular at night when it is nicely lit up. Every time I looked out over it, I was instantly calm and relaxed. What made it more special was finding out the owners had built/converted the cottage themselves with their own hands. This, for me, enhanced the character greatly. Obviously being in the middle of the country meant it was extremely peaceful but Shrewsbury was nearby for a day out and grabbing any necessities.

This cottage was great value for money and absolutely beautiful. We were attracted to this particular cottage by the hot tub but the pool table and sauna were also welcome additions! All of the rooms were beautifully decorated to a high standard and there was plenty of space for us all. There were local walks and it was easy to find. The owners and their pets were extremely welcoming and accommodating, everything we needed was there. I will definitely visit again and will recommend to all my friends, I just hope they don't put the price up!!

Me and my partner and a couple of good friends stayed at the Old Sheep Shed at the end of November, all we can say was this place was amazing, the weather was cold and snow on the ground which made the setting even better. The accomodation as a whole is amazing the pictures dont do this place justice. The underfloor heating is a joy along with all the luxuries that have been listed. The only thing that is better than the accomodation was the people that owned it Mr & Mrs Davies couldnt of been more helpful and friendly. Many places claim to have it all and some do but this little hidden gem is not only top grade accomodation but very well priced too. If you are a couple or a family looking for a relaxing place to stay with excellent hosts then dont look any further. We will be certainly coming back again next year and many years to come 5 stars all round.

The Old Sheep Shed is a wonderful conversion which has been well thought out, is superbly maintained and provides every comfort. Mr & Mrs Davies are the perfect hosts. We have stayed in many award winning cottages over the past few years and The Old Sheep Shed warrants a place among the best. All fixtures and fittings are of lovely quality. The private hot tub is top of the range and the landscaped garden (which is beautifully lit at night) frames the large pond well stocked with carp and goldfish provides a relaxing backdrop. A sauna is available in one of the bathrooms or you may prefer a game of pool in the comfy games room. All in all a lovely break.

We had a lovely relaxed time in The Old Sheep Shed.. The pool table and sauna were used a lot. CDs, DVDs and games to keep us occupied if we wanted to stay in. It was a very lovely place and the owners were very welcoming. We recommend it highly.
