Only 10 miles separate the bustling community of Minsterley from the historic town of Shrewsbury amid the stunning Shropshire Hills. One of the oldest structures in the hamlet, a tavern, a store, a post office, and a fantastic fish and chip business can all be found in Minsterley. One mile away, in the village of Pontesbury, are additional services such takeout and restaurants, the Arscott Golf Club, Springlea Fishing Pools and the Pontesbury cycle/footpath. The Long Mynd, a refuge for walkers and wildlife watchers nearby, offers a handy area to unwind and enjoy the breathtaking landscape on offer. Shrewsbury, one of England's most beautiful heritage towns with more than 600 listed structures, lies tucked away on the River Severn's loop. Enjoy the many festivals that are offered, including Shrewsbury's Summer Season, as you admire the charming cobblestone lanes and squares.

We’ve just returned from this lovely countryside retreat. The accommodation has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing holiday.
A favourite area was the outside terrace where we enjoyed a drink following a day of exploration. The terrace also had a small grassed area for our dog to make use of.
We were spoiled for choice of places to visit. Historic castles, country houses, gentle and more strenuous walks, quaint villages and charming market towns are all nearby.
We will definitely be back!

Mossy Lodge is an absolute hidden gem!
The accomadation is very nicely decorated and has everything you need for an enjoyable and relaxing stay. The seating area is very well thought of with the most sunning views of the fields with the cows, pheasant and hare's.
the bathroom is lovely and the towels are the fluffiest. The two double bedrooms are well equipped with comfortable beds, light and airy.
The welcome pack was appreciated.
There are some lovely walks right on the door step and it is so peaceful.
100% we will be back to stay longer as three days wasnt enough as we loved it so much.
Being dog friendly was an added bonus for us, as our four legged boy really enjoyed the stay.
The garden was enclosed which was lovely sitting out watching the cows and listening to the birds and the sheep.
