We thoroughly enjoyed this property.
It's a superb cottage in a picturesque location with good views of the Shropshire hills, looking towards the Stiperstones ridge which boasts the famous rocky outcrop, the Devil's Chair.
Perfect for a family of four, the spacious bedroom upstairs features a big beautiful sleigh bed and cosy bunkbeds for the children. Ours are 17 and 14 and found them easily big enough. The excellent blankets, linen and towels made it even more comfortable.
All the rooms have lots of space, particularly the huge upstairs bathroom with great bath and a big shower cubicle.
There's a lovely, well-equipped kitchen including oven, hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, and breakfast bar.
There's also a large downstairs toilet-cum-utility room with a washing machine. It had plenty of room to store our jackets and walking boots.
The living room with TV, sofas and coffee table was very cosy,
But the piece-de-resistance was the glorious conservatory with a gorgeous view over the property's garden and towards "those blue remembered hills."
The very friendly hosts have also provided a telescope to view the stars through the conservatory's toughened glass roof.
They couldn't have been more helpful, giving us an OS map to guide us on our walk along the Stiperstones ridge down to the village of Stiperstones, where we had a good meal and a great pint in the Stiperstones Inn.
They also recommended some more walks, and more pubs!
We'd like to go back in summer when the Shropshire Hills will look even more picturesque.
All in all, we highly recommend this cottage.
It's not amazingly cheap but that's because it's genuinely a lovely, high-quality place to stay.
If you want to go in winter when there might be snow or ice, be aware there's a steep hill up to the cottage which would make it a challenging drive unless you've got a 4x4 or tyre chains.
