Morpeth is a great starting point for exploring nearby attractions like Druridge Bay, which has miles of miles of golden sand, the vibrant city of Newcastle, to the south, Alnwick, which has a castle and gardens, and the National Trust's Wallington Hall, to the west. Morpeth also offers the ruins of a historic castle, lovely parks, riverside walks, ancient architecture and churches, and an old chantry with a bagpipe museum.
