Settled since medieval times, the homely village of Warenford enjoys an excellent location, just a short drive away from the glorious Bamburgh beach and castle, and the famous Alnwick Castle which is well-known for featuring in the Harry Potter film series. The village offers a delightful bar and restaurant where you can grab a well-deserved pint and tasty meal after a day of exploring and a petrol station with a convenience store.

Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian’s Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.

Very disappointing stay the house was very basic with no extra added comforts or the basic items one would usually find in a holiday home. The lounge sofas were filthy inside and out and clearly not been checked for some time. The beds upstairs provided no support at all and the bath plug doesn’t work. Definitely not value for money and would not recommend to others. We contacted the owner directly with our concerns and feedback but we have heard nothing back which speaks volumes.

We have just stayed for 3 nights at Field View House, Lucker with a teenager and a large dog. The house is in a little village with not much in it other than other holiday properties and a couple of restaurants. I cannot review these as we took our own food. The house is cosy and has everything you could need for a base for visiting nearby beaches and historic castles. The kitchen is well equipped, there is an enclosed garden and it gets warm quickly if you stay when the weather isn't kind to you. The beds are comfy. Although it's cosy there was also plenty of room for 3 people and our German Shepherd. The only slight niggle was the poor TV connection for Netflix etc maybe due to remote location but not such a problem as we didn't go just to sir and watch TV. We would definitely stay here again
