The cottage can sleep four people in one twin and one double bedroom with a family bathroom. The rest of the cottage is made up of an open plan fitted kitchen dining area and sitting room with an electric fire. Outside the cottage is an enclosed gravelled area with outdoor furniture and off road parking for one car. Being located right in the centre of Amble, Driftwood Apartment makes the perfect holiday location for a family looking to explore the county of Northumberland.

All first floor. Two bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x twin. Bathroom with bath, separate shower, basin and WC. Ground floor WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with electric fire. Utility.

Area
The bustling seaport of Amble is situated at the mouth of the River Coquet and is an ideal place for exploring Northumberland. Historically a centre for boatbuilding, Amble offers a marina, a harbour, sandy beaches and coastal walks to the bird sanctuary at Hauxley and Country Park at Druridge Bay. Large fishing boats moor along the harbour wall and land a variety of fish, prawns, crabs and lobsters - the daily catch can be bought at a fish shop in the harbour. A mile south of Amble is Coquet Island, an RSPB reserve with a large population of terns, puffins and eider ducks and boat trips around the island can be arranged. The pretty coastal villages of Alnmouth and Craster and numerous superb beaches are only a short drive away, whilst picturesque Warkworth with its castle, charming Alnwick with its castle and award winning gardens, and the National Trust's Wallington Hall and Cragside are all within easy reach.

A very pleasant, light and comfortable flat two minutes walk away from the High Street and five minutes from the harbour.. A good base for our holiday, and easy to revisit favourite places like Cragside. We will certainly try to rebook next time we visit Amble.

Easy communication with the owner who was very pleasant on the phone.. Parking was available, if a little tight on space for the two apartments. The location of the apartment was great, easy walk to the harbour area and the Main Street of amble. The apartment itself was comfortable and well presented. Plates and cutlery were all there but a bit of a mixed lot. Nice towels provided. The apartment was clean and nice and quiet. My only complaint was that the double bed was very uncomfortable and would benefit from a decent mattress. I had to sleep in one of the twin beds which were better. A welcome pack would have been useful too, explaining things. Overall a good apartment.

Although it says it has parking spaces for two cars - it was extremely tight.. We had an Astra and the couple in the flat below a smaller car - if two larger cars turned up - think it might be practically impossible without agreement to constantly be moving them for access and egress Location, amenities and overall comfort very good

The flat was beautifully set out, clean and had everything we needed.. The owners were really helpful and accommodating. The flat is in the centre of Amble near to shops and restaurant's less then 5 min walk. The harbour area is lovely with a small beach and shops less then 10 min walk. We would definitely stay here again.

A cosy, warm and comfortable apartment, with the unusual advantages of two toilets and being so close to town, off road parking.. We enjoyed our week exploring Northumberland despite the weather, the majority of the UK has not had rain for weeks, but we had heavy rain on the Monday and drizzle on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday! Amble had a good selection of local shops,eateries and takeaways and an excellent Sunday market.

Driftwood Apartment is a very comfortable and well situated apartment in the centre of Amble with it's own offroad parking.. Handily located near to the harbour, it is a great base from which to explore the beautiful Northumbrian countryside and the local wildlife; a puffin cruise to Coquet Island is a must and don't forget your camera or binoculars. We can highly recommend this hidden gem.

I stayed here with my kids for a week in August. Really lovely apartment, everything we needed for a central base to explore Northumberland. Amble is a lovely wee town, nice places to eat, good shops and small beach and fab playpark for the kids. Great to have parking off the street & lovely quiet area, but really only minutes from the main streets of Amble. Have loved loved our time here - we'll be back!

A lovely retreat hidden away from the street, apartment very clean and comfortable, home from home, Amble is a lovely small fishing town, a nice market on a Sunday, and central for touring coastline of Northumberland, if you need tickets for attractions get them from tourist office in town square you get a discount.

Fantastic hideaway from the busy High Street. There is off road parking which is a great bonus around there. The apartment is spacious, equipped with everything you need on your holiday and also tastefully decorated. Rates are reasonable too. The location is ideal to see Holy Island, Farne Island, Hadrian's Wall and the lovely sandy seaside. Also, not too far even from Edinburgh and the Scottish border. Shops are within minutes and the seaside is close. Would highly recommend it.
