Was a really great cottage in a lovely village.. If you’re into history and race horses then Middleham will suit you to a T. A few times each morning dozens of race horses leave their stables next door making their way to the gallops which is also a great location for walking and running for humans too.
Our only negatives was the cleanliness of the cottage, the cleaner doesn’t seem to know how to clean pan and vacuum the sides of the sofa oh and the knives in the block are blunt, making chopping up veg quite an experience. One key point to note is that this cottage is on the main road, can be especially noisy at the weekend with noisy motorbikes.
We only ate out one evening, would recommend the Richard III on the square, not the smartest pub in the word but they do know how to cook!
We would recommend this cottage, the owner will go out of their way to assist with your planning.
For the negatives, the positives outweigh the negatives. We would definitely recommend this cottage and the location.
