This cottage is lovely with all the equipment you could need.set in a lovely courtyard with fabulous views from all windows.there r some lovely walks around the cottage if you take the lane behind the cottage, our spaniel archie loved going down there and a lovely but fast flowing stream at the bottom.visited Reeth,Richmond and aylesgarth falls which was beautiful. Strongly recommend the CB inn just up the road the food and staff where the best we've ever experienced . All in all fabulous weeks holiday will definitely go again.

Seating in lounge very uncomfortable.. Needs urgent attention.
Large bedroom dated.
Other than that, warm cottage with lovely views.
Very pleasant break.
Nice area in convenient spot.

Thank you for a wonderful stay in this cottage .. The views are amazing and the walks around are just what we came for, so relaxing. What can I say Aros cottage is cosy, warm, comfortable cottage, quiet surrounded by the most beautiful countryside.
The 2019 floods have caused some damage and the red lion pub is now closed which was a shame. However my family had a relaxing time in Aros cottage.
Thank you again

The cottage was very comfortable, well equipped and in a delightful location.. However, when we arrived we found that the kitchen waste bin had not been emptied and there was mould on the contents. The dishwasher had also not been emptied and, again, there was mould. In general, we had the impression that the cottage had not been cleaned thoroughly.

Absolutely lovely cottage and very well equipped for a relaxing holiday.. Lots of extra details like games, maps and guide books, towels and bedding really enhanced our enjoyment. Beautiful and very peaceful location, and we enjoyed the absence of tv and wifi! Lots of lovely walks in the area and a very good local pub. Would definitely go back.

This cottage is a wonderful base to explore the Dales.. And the fact that there is loads of information about the history is a real bonus too.

We've stayed here before ( a year ago), so we knew what to expect (otherwise would have checked the "exceeded" box! ). This is isolated enough to be "far from the madding crowd", yet with one or two kindly neighbours (especially the housekeeper), and a pub-with-meals half a mile down the road (albeit a bit pricey), it's also very secure. No TV, wifi or mobile signal (suits us but would suit everyone). An ideal, comfortable base for us to enjoy the Swaledale Festival.

Comfortable house. Good walks nearby. Not as secluded as i expected from the pictures I didn't realise it was overlooked by 10 houses, but for the price we found it spacious, clean and comfortable and enjoyed our stay.

I think the above would be completely perfect if it had a television..

The cottage was in a beautiful part of Yorkshire, with lots of great walks to do. We will definitely go to this cottage again.

I liked the house which was very cosy. Also the surrounding countryside was stunning. It was a good base for getting to nearby towns and various local attractions.

A perfect location for exploring the Northern Dales, in a most charming cottage.
