After an exciting day of touring the area, Skelton-in-Cleveland has a small range of shops, pubs, and cafés that make this a lovely base to return to. The coast is also accessible; Saltburn-by-the-Sea, a charming seaside town with a beautiful beach and a number of services, is only three miles distant. Little over 20 miles away, the well-known town of Whitby is definitely worth the drive because it offers a beautiful harbour and lots to do. Also accessible is Middlesborough, a stunning town that's perfect for a day of shopping. The North York Moors National Park is a fantastic setting for your dose of revitalising country air, breathtaking scenery, and a plethora of trails and routes to explore.
