Stayed here Friday-Friday (a lot cheaper than Sat-Sat) to celebrate a big birthday with a bunch of friends. It's a great house - a little down-at-heel and dusty in places, especially on the top floor, but spacious, every bedroom en suite, big well-equipped kitchen, big dining room, huge living room on the first floor (sadly the piano isn't tuned) and a smaller one on the ground floor, breakfast room - lots of different spaces for people to gather and chat, play games, watch TV or whatever. Lots of quirky art and artefacts. The hot tub is ace and you can sit in it and listen to the gigs at the open-air theatre without having to pay! Five minutes' walk from the lovely North Bay beach, even closer to the amazing Peasholm Park, and a short drive to the town centre supermarkets - a Tesco Express and a small Co-op are within easy walking distance. Good base for walking around Scarborough: over the headland to South Bay and back round Marine Drive - two of us saw dolphins in the sea! I would gladly stay here again.
