Number Six is a semi-detached cottage in the quiet residential area of Burniston near to Scarborough. The cottage sleeps five people and has one double bedroom, one twin and a single as well as a family bathroom. Also in the cottage is an open plan living area with a kitchen and a sitting area. Outside is an enclosed garden with outdoor furniture. Just four miles from the centre of Scarborough and its sandy beaches, Number Six is a lovely family holiday cottage in North Yorkshire.

Area
The lively seaside town of Scarborough has many fascinating historic buildings, a castle, beautiful gardens and peaceful parks. The town has been hugely popular with visitors ever since the 19th century, and people still flock to Scarborough for its beautiful North and South bays and their splendid sandy golden beaches. The traditional seaside entertainments, busy promenade, shops and restaurants and visitor attractions including the theatre combine to provide something for everyone who wants a happy, fun holiday in a traditional seaside location. Venture further afield to the dramatic Moors, visit the quaint fishing village of Robin Hoods Bay or explore the market towns away from the coast such as Pickering and Malton to complete your relaxing holiday.

The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

We were pleasantly surprised by this holiday home.. There was nothing it didnt have! My son was actually sad to leave as he liked it so much. It is clean, great location, quiet, the beds were super comfy, the owners had thought of everything with having wifi, a Wii, an xbox, loads of games and plenty of DVDs. We couldnt have had a better time. Thank you so much.

We really enjoyed our stay at number 6.. Clean, tidy & lots of little extras which made it feel like a home from home. Games for the kids, books and some outdoor toys which they played with every morning. They also had a dishwasher which I loved as we don't have one at home! Great location, lovely host, we would definitely return.

This is the 4th time we have stayed in Number 6 and we are hoping to return next year.. It’s a beautiful cottage with everything you need for a perfect holiday. The location is very quiet and ideal for visiting all the attractions of the North Yorkshire coast. It’s also very handy for York or Leeds should the weather not be so good. The owner is very welcoming and as usual we were greeted with yummy cake and biscuits. She even bought extra for us to take home when I mentioned how much my son enjoyed them! A wonderful holiday!

We received a very warm welcome and felt at home immediately.. The cottage which is located in a very peaceful area is immaculately clean and is more than fully equipped with everything you could need for a self catering holiday. It is a very modern and tastefully decorated home with everything of a high standard. The beds were so comfortable that we really slept soundly. It has a very child friendly feel with books games and toys. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our break, taking away a lot of happy memories. We hope to return.

This is the third time we have stayed in Number 6 and we would love to return.. It’s a beautiful cottage with everything you need for a great holiday. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. You are greeted with tea, coffee, milk and cake plus fresh flowers. It’s also in an ideal location for trips along the coast, to York, Leeds or Teeside. Highly recommend.
