Lilipad Cottage is situated on the The Bay Holiday Park near to Filey in North Yorkshire. The house sleeps four people in two bedrooms, a double and a twin along with a family bathroom. The rest of the accommodation comprises an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside there is a private patio and shared use of the park's facilities including an indoor swimming pool, a gym and tennis court, extra costs may be incurred. With so much going on in the area, Lilipad Cottage is perfect for a superb holiday, all year round.

Area
Filey is a traditional English seaside resort with a friendly atmosphere, offering a restful holiday. A fishing town on the North East Coast, Filey has enjoyed a reputation of being a resort since Victorian times, set affront the magnificent Filey Bay, a long stretch of sand. The town itself seems almost caught in a time warp, retaining much of its character with individual shops, narrow paths, and ginnels.

Region
The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Lilipad Cottage is a real home from home with everything you could possibly need and lovely little touches to give it a cosy seaside feel. The on site facilities are great (I would highly recommend afternoon tea from Bayside Kitchen) and the beach access is perfect for a stroll onto Filey Bay. We feel so lucky to have had the chance to visit before another national lockdown and would definitely consider coming again when it's over. Thank you Dawn and Stephen for a wonderful stay xxx

Fantastic cottage break with the family for New Year on the beautiful Bay in Filey.. Dawn had left us little treats and went the extra mile to make is feel really welcome. Cottage is very cosy and ultra clean. A great base for long beach walks and movie nights in. My children already want to go back. 5 stars for Lilipad Cottage.

This was our first time visiting Yorkshire and we had a great time.. The beaches at Filey and Whitby were fantastic. Our pre-teen kids had a brilliant day at Flamingoland and pottering around on the various beaches. Our stay in a holiday village as opposed to a caravan site was brilliant. The facilities in the cottage and within the village were great. Both very welcoming and very clean. The site was very safe for the kids to have some independence. As ever our stay with Sykes was excellent. We have now stayed in Sykes cottages in Scotland, England and Wales and we are never disappointed.

Having previously owned a caravan next door on the Haven Park, Primrose Valley, with the problems that it brought , it made a refreshing change to stay somewhere where we could relax and feel that we had an holiday.. Lillipad Cottage was an excellent choice being located in a quiet part on The Bay. It was clean, comfortable and provided everything we needed during our stay. It was nice to able to leave our bedroom windows open on a warm humid night without being disturbed by drunks, screaming women and noisy kids running around after 11 pm at night. It was comforting to see a visible security patrol which you would regularly see at the entrance to The Bay. All in all The Bay was a great place to stay with not over the top facilities which provided a nice family pub, cafe restaurant, swimming pool, sauna , Gym and activities for children. Lillipad Cottage was within easy walking distance of all these facilities with an added bonus of easy access to the beach and the lovely Filey Bay. There were two car parking spaces alloted to this cottage with further parking nearby so you can leave the car without any worries and go off for the day. Ideal base for exploring the north Yorkshire Coastline with must visits to Flamborough, Bempton Cliffs, Sewerby and Burton Agnes Hall, Robin Hoods Bay, Whitby, North York Moors, Pickering and North Yorks Railway, Scarborough and Bridlington which are all within a short drive. Thank you to the owners of Lillipad Cottage for providing a lovely holiday home which allowed us to have a relaxing holiday We will definitely be returning next year.

We enjoyed a wonderful week in Lilipad Cottage in May 2019.. It is in a brilliant location and is equipped with everything we could possibly need. The sun was shining everyday so our toddler made the most of digging on the beach, splashing in the sea and building sandcastles. We hope to return again soon.

My little family and I stayed here Easter 2019.. This beautiful little cottage has everything you could wish for. Modern but homely, very clean and tidy. Perfectly situated in walking distance to the leisure suit, pub, arcade and beach. Booking was easy. The owners are very accommodating and willing to help in any way. Just returned from our 5th stay at Lilipad Cottage and the standards are still excellent. The Owners are constantly looking at ways to make your holiday even better. The cottage is immaculately clean cosy and comfortable...a real home from home. The location is quiet but still close to all facilities. We have stayed in other accommodation at The Bay but this one beats them all... definately 5?.

Excellent location, immaculately clean.. Good for up to four people, though the second bedroom is a bit tight for two (large) adults.

A lovely cottage, clean and comfortable.. Only a short 10 minute walk to the beach. A great base for exploring the area. And with the added bonus of free use of the sites indoor swimming pool.

The Bay at Filey is a wonderfully peaceful location, and Lilipad Cottage was definitely the best self-catering accommodation we have ever stayed in.. It was immaculately clean, really well equipped and very much a home from home. Definitely would stay there again.

We stayed at lilipad cottage. It is a beautiful cottage that has the feeling of home from home. Very comfortable & cosy the cottage had everything you need for your holiday. There is plenty to do at The Bay had a meal at the pub which was nice . There is a nice walk along the beach to Filey however the beast from the east didn't allow us to do it this time. The break was enjoyed by ourselves and 2 Grandaughters aged 7 & 3.. They loved their holiday home.It was modern,very warm and welcoming.The complex was ideal for young children with a playground ,an indoor swimming pool and safe for them to use their scooters without the fear of fast traffic. We would definitely recommend the place.
