Flip Flops is a detached cottage located on The Bay, three miles from the seaside resort of Filey. Hosting two bedrooms; one zip/link king-size with a balcony, and a king-size with an en-suite, this accommodation can sleep up to four people. Inside, you will also find a family bathroom, cloakroom, kitchen, and an open plan sitting and dining area with a woodburner. Resting in a desirable location and close to seaside attractions, Flip Flops is a wonderful cottage in a desirable part of England, with plenty to see and do nearby.

Two bedrooms: 1 x king-size double (zip/link, can be twin on request) with balcony, 1 x king-size double with en-suite shower, basin and WC. Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Cloakroom with basin and WC. Kitchen. Sitting room with dining area and woodburner.

Area
Filey is a seaside resort with a fishing town on the North East Coast. Filey has enjoyed a reputation of being a resort since Victorian times, set beside the Filey Bay, a long stretch of beautiful sand, with Filey Brigg and its shallow rockpools to the north. The bay is edged with two promenades and there are various gardens, where brass bands play on a Sunday afternoon.

Gas central heating with woodburner. Electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, 2 x TVs with Freeview, DVD, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for woodburner inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair. Off road parking for 2 cars. Patio to rear with furniture. Communal grounds with picnic areas and lakes. Communal leisure facilities include free use of the swimming pool (including children's pool), sauna, steam room and gym. Other facilities with additional charges include tennis, fishing (rod licence required), bike hire, tennis, lake kayaking, archery, aqua fit and beauty treatment room. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 1 mile. Note: On-site pharmacy, coffee/pizza cafe and pub 5 mins walk (coffee and pizza cafe subject to seasonal opening times). Note: Open lakes in grounds, children should be supervised at all times. Note: The bedroom with the zip/link beds has access to a balcony. The door can be unlocked internally without requiring a key, therefore parents must be mindful of this when children are using this room. Note: Check in 4pm

It is a shame that the meadow walk at The Bay is closed.. This is an important facit to the site and customers using the site should be warned of this. I hope that the site is not being greedy and building more properties on this land? Beautifully clean and fresh smelling property. The freezer was a great adition. Constructive criticism: a shower shelf inside the en-suite shower cubicle would be a great help, as shampoo etc have to kept on the floor - wet hair every shower and not everyone wants to wash their hair every day! :)

The house was fabulous and in a perfect position for everything.. I can only pass one negative comment and it is not directly at the house. I feel the cleaners let the owners down a little. The doors and kitchen cupboard doors had dirty finger marks on them and the curtains covering the patios were covered in dog hairs from quite a large dog. I must reiterate this is no negative on the property as its beautiful and I will definitely stay there again

This was the first time we had been to this cottage/house, we only booked four nights, had we known how wonderful it was, we would definitely had booked for longer.. The property is excellent, spotlessly clean, very comfortable. Everything you need is there, the detail and quality is 100% . We took our two dogs with us , which for us is a plus. The walks to the beach are breathtaking, really relaxed place. We will hopefully be returning soon. A definite 10/10

Flip Flops is a lovely property which is well equipped, extremely clean and very comfortable.. It is ideally situated within The Bay complex and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property for an enjoyable break.

Brilliant cottage and the best one yet we have stayed in.. Cleanliness was perfect, and comfort was excellent, and I would definitely stay here again, and I would give it 10 out of 10. Love The Bay Filey, and love to go Spring or September when it is a bit quieter. I can't recommend Sykes Cottages, Ease of booking and I have already booked my next holiday with them. Always recommend Sykes Cottages, and never dissapointed.

Flip Flops is an excellent cottage and the cleanest we have stayed in at the Bay.. Location near to the pub and closer access to the beach is a nice bonus. Facilities are as listed on the Sykes web page but be aware that although it does have wifi it is extremely slow ( around 0.14 meg ) whilst we were there. Any issues during the stay were quickly resolves by Kenny or the owner - Peter. Bedrooms are large and two bathrooms was an excellent resource when you have a son who takes forever in the shower. Liked it so much we rebooked during the week for the same time next year.

The Bay resort has everything for a great holiday and the staff were an absolute joy .. We made good use of the pool and gym and of course the beautiful beach . Flip Flops our holiday home was lovely , very clean and smart a tribute to the owners . It was our first time to Yorkshire and we had some lovely days out from our base at the Bay . Thanks all again we will be back !!

Yes enjoyed our time in the cottage its very clean and brilliant for our dog ,good walks for him so close to shops .. And the pub even allows your dogs very dog friendly which is important for us had another lovely time there

Having used Sykes’ and The Bay for the last 5 years I have to say this was probably t.. We best holiday we’ve had. The cottage is beautiful, clean and well situated for the facilities. We will definitely be returning.
