2 Calvert Croft is a semi-detached house situated on The Bay holiday park, close to the North Yorkshire seaside resort of Filey. It has three bedrooms including two doubles, one with an en-suite, and a twin room as well as a family bathroom and a cloakroom, the cottage can sleep six people. Also inside there is an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and a sitting area. To the outside there is ample off road parking, a patio with table and chairs and a shared lawn. 2 Calvert Croft is a delightful cottage in a great coastal location.

Area
Filey is a traditional English seaside resort with a friendly atmosphere, offering a restful holiday. The town itself seems almost caught in a time warp, retaining much of its character with individual shops, narrow paths and ginnels.

Region
The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Optional charge for other facilities inc. gym, tennis courts, scuba diving lessons, archery, fishing and bike hire etc. One well-behaved pet welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Pub, cafe/pizzeria and pharmacy 2 mins walk. Beach 1 mile. Note: Communal leisure facilities on-site, inc. free use of indoor swimming pool, childrens pool, sauna, steam room, gym, tennis and table tennis. Note: Optional charge for other facilities on-site inc. scuba diving lessons, fishing and bike hire etc. Please note: the swimming pool will be closed for repairs between 7th to 10th February 2022.

The area around the property us very clean and well kept.. The facilities on site are good. However the is the second time we have stayed and the first time the gym wasnt in use on this visit the swimming pool was out if use.

We had a wonderful week in 2 Calvert Croft, it was a the perfect size for our family, tastefully decorated, warm, comfortable and very well equipped.. The kids loved the swimming pool which we made good use of! The Bay is a great location for exploring the North Yorkshire coast, we were lucky with the weather and had lovely days out in Filey, Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay. We loved the easy access to the stunning beach. Highly recommended!

Beautifull holiday home.. Very clean .tea making facilities and fresh milk left for us . Comfy beds and tv's in all bedrooms making this the ideal place to relax and get into bridlington and scarbough.

We had a great time, the cottage was fantastic, they thought of everything and more to make our stay a home from home.. Just wish The Bay had a bit more for teenagers other than the pool. However we are thinking of coming back next year as we enjoyed the cottage so much and may even book for a long weekend in the meantime. Thank you.

Spent a lovely week at 2 Calvert Croft.. The house is a real home from home, spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The hamper is a nice gesture to help you to settle in quickly and the games, DVDs and buckets & spades etc were all put to good use. The only thing I could fault (if I had to be picky) was that the fridge is only very small and there is no freezer... however as we were only there for a week it didn't matter. The site is lovely and clean and it's only a short stroll to the beach. We did walk along the beach into Filey which took us about 40 minutes each way. That said, it was a very slow walk with lots of stopping to collect shells!! The pool was clean and although it can get busy at times we found that late afternoon was a good time to go. The only downside to The Bay, in my opinion is the lack of entertainment. An odd pub quiz or something for the children a couple of nights a week would have been nice. Overall a lovely week spent in a beautiful house. We didn't want to leave!!

My family and I love our holidays to the bay Filey.. We always book with Sykes found their prices the best. Our first stay in Calvert Cross and we were not surprised at the high standards at this property as this follows the theme of this lovely holiday village.

Booked for the Easter week.. The warm, comfortable cottage made up for the first three days of inclement weather. TV, WiFi,books, games and nice welcome hamper greeted us., The Bay is convenient centre for the east coast resorts. Only a short drive to Filey, Bridlington and Scarborough. The Bay holiday village would benefit from a bigger shop/store for newspapers, and provisions. However, Tesco in Filey is only a 10 minute drive away.

It was nice to find a welcome pack and cleaning materials and equipment available.. We contacted Sykes on one occasion in relation to some bulbs that became in need of replacement. The response was prompt and rectified quickly
