Tuft house is a huge, beautifully decorated home which makes a great weekend getaway.. The host gave us a lovely welcome and took the time to show us around the whole property. It is a beautiful home and tastefully decorated throughout. The rooms are a bigger than pictures make them seem and no one was short changed for the bed space as all options were comfy. We had 18 people so 2 people did have to sleep on a sofa bed instead of a massive kingsize behemoth mattress but it's ok for short stays.
The surrounding area was so peaceful and we didn't have any noise complaints even late into the night. The view is amazing from the house and shops aren’t that far (15 minutes wish) if you do need to go for a shop, with smaller shops in the village. I would recommend bringing some food to get you going as it is a small village with not many options but there is a barbecue which had been cleaned for our use and it was great to use that.
Mobile phone signal in the area is basically non-existent which actually turned out to be a good thing, it engaged everyone and kept people off their phones. But it is annoying if you do need to contact someone or even contact the host for questions about properties, it's rare you can can use the phone. They do live next door so it isn't too much trouble to ask for help.
There is a £300 security deposit which you have to pay before arriving. This is understandable but I didn't see it displayed clearly on the original booking page which I think is misleading when trying to budget for a mini-break. Sites like Airbnb handle these issues themselves instead of us having to supply a deposit, that was my only issue with the process and it was a fantastic weekend.
