There is an electric central heating system and fuel, electricity, and a starter kit for a wood-burning stove are included in the rent. Parking for two cars is available off-road. A small, fenced-in gravel garden with a patio. Sorry, no smoking allowed. The nearest shop is 2.6 miles away, and the nearest pub is 1.8 miles away. Barn Cottage is a perfect dwelling for exploring the North York Moors.

Area
Scarborough and Pickering are both within easy driving distance of the sleepy village of Sawdon, which sits on the edge of the magnificent North York Moors National Park. On Wednesday to Sunday, the Anvil Pub in Sawdon serves good food, and there are numerous hiking trails that can be accessed from the town. Within a short drive, you'll find the charming village of Brompton-by-Sawdon, nestled in the scenic Forge Valley. It's easy to get out and see the surrounding countryside from this picturesque spot, which features stone-built homes and a local butcher.

The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.
