Old Sweet Shop is set in the village of Saltfleetby, near Louth, and can sleep six people. This all ground floor cottage has two double bedrooms (one with an en-suite shower room), a twin bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen and a sitting room with a dining area. Outside there is ample off road parking, a communal gravelled courtyard with furniture and a barbecue and there are lawns to the rear. Old Sweet Shop is a wonderful holiday base.

All ground floor. Three bedrooms: 1 x king-size double, 1 x double with en-suite shower, basin and WC, 1 x twin. Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Kitchen. Sitting room with dining area.

Area
Lough is a historic market town which offers Grade II listed buildings, a church, a museum, shops, weekly markets and pubs. An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Lincolnshire Wolds are perfect for walkers and cyclists who wish to explore this wonderful area. There are also coastal resorts nearby which makes this part of England an ideal place to visit.

Very friendly warm welcome and brewing up/biscuit kit! ! Beautiful surroundings and lovely accomodation only improvement would be if either one of the showers was more powerful (possibly a water pressure thing) but otherwise no complaints; fabulous, peaceful home from home!

Very pleasant stay.. Great day trips to Lincoln, Mablethorpe, Cleethorpes, Louth and Hull. Amazing scenery and loved the nature reserve and sand dunes down the road. Well equipped and clean facilities, beautiful and quiet. Can thoroughly recommend.

Such a lovely comfortable place.. very peaceful with lovely views and within easy reach of a lot of lovely places to visit. Everything you could possibly need is provided. I went with my 89 year old Mother who found it ideal for her and her little dog who loved the walks right by the property. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anybody.

We had a nice short stay in this property and although it was very windy it didn’t stop us doing the things we wanted .. We took two people in their mid eighties and the property suited them very well except they couldn’t open the front door very easily from the inside as there’s no door handle just the Yale lock and it stuck a bit, probably due to the damp. Also just to make you aware the shop is no longer open in the village although there is a co-op in the other direction but you’d need to drive to it and the nearest pub is also closed. If you don’t mind a short drive The Prussian Queen in Saltfleetby or The Queens Head in Legbourne both did lovely meals.

The cottage was great: excellent, comfortable, good parking, owner pleasant and helpful but not intrusive - helped to make for a great holiday.. Good location for the places we visited (Louth, Lincoln, Gainsborough Old Hall, Tattershall Castle (highly recommended), coast, etc.

The Old Sweetshop is in a good location for a quiet break but ideally positioned for easy access to the coast and small market towns.. The cottage was very comfortable and the kitchen was very well equipped, ideal for self catering and the welcome pack was a nice touch. My only "negative" comment is that I would have appreciated a shelf and a few coat hooks in the bathrooms and all would have been perfect!

A fantastic cottage, with everything any family could want.. The kitchen was well stocked so meant that you didn't have to use the dishwasher too often because you had run out of clean dishes. The washing machine was quick and efficient with a drier available to use. The cottage on arrival was clean and tidy with all of the bed made up with lots of towels for everyone. The owners were friendly and and had kindly provided milk and biscuits along with tea and coffee which we gratefully used after our long journey. Only one thing which could have improved it was a little thicker curtains or lined curtains as it was quite an early wake up call in the morning due to light curtains (and I'm being picky here). Thank you for a wonderful holiday cottage, we will be recommending to others.

The only slight down side is the location, there is nothing to do within walking distance and only 1 small shop in the village, apart from that the cottage is fantastic and brilliant for dogs..

Made to feel really welcome.. Hosts contacted us before and were able to help with any queries, like supermarkets. They suggested a delivery. When we arrived there was complimentary tea, coffee, milk, sugar and biscuits. This was brilliant whilst we waited for our delivery. We wanted to have a bbq and didn't have any charcoal and they provided us with some.

Have just returned from a week at this cottage. Excellent. Efficient booking and good instructions for finding the cottage. Very helpful owner whose priority was to make sure that we had a good holiday. Spotlessly clean and very attractively decorated cottage with first-rate and modern fittings. The paddock was good for walking the dog and there were tracks in the fields beyond if I wanted to go further. Plenty of activities to fill the week without the need to travel far

We had a fantastic short break here in November with our 2 dogs. A really spacious cottage, spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable beds they have everything you need and more. The owners are really friendly and helpful and welcoming. The secure courtyard area was a real bonus for us with the dogs. A very peaceful setting yet central to everywhere. We booked via the owners own website which was extremely easy to follow, we will definitely be going back again and have recommended to all our friends and family :D.
